Who am i?

My name is Emma Richter-Ryan, I’m a Graphic Designer and Multimedia Developer with a flare for the written word and an ever evolving appreciation for a good cup of coffee. I am a graduate of the inaugural class of the Bachelor’s of Global Business and Digital Arts program at the University of Waterloo, a unique, multidisciplinary program with a focus on developing an essential skillset at the crossroads of technology, design, and business. Throughout university and beyond, I’ve gained many valuable technical skills that are applicable to a wide variety of roles within the digital media, marketing, communication, and design sectors. I have also received training in Alternative Dispute Resolution and mediation, and have found ways to incorporate this knowledge into both scholastic and workplace environments. I enjoy working on a project from start to finish and being involved in every step of the creative process, from the very seeds of an idea, to seeing the final result.

I like graphic design, animation, writing, photography, videography, photo retouching, UX design, and long walks on the beach.

I, as with all humans, am a delightful juxtaposition in and of myself. I think that contrast, whether this be in art, architecture, literature, web design, or humanity, is always so surprising and so beautiful. And I hope to be able to achieve this beautiful imbalance in everything that I create.
